Finally Finished – My Music Video

Well, it’s almost entirely finished. George Lucas stated “…films are never completed, they’re only abandoned.”1 Well, I can understand. The video is not yet 100% to my liking, as there are certainly still a few problems. The lip-sync is faulty in a few places, one of the transitions is not yet to my liking, and one microphone shot — with the speakers in the background — is a bit too long. I also hope to have another session to shoot with the model, the wonderful Iveth Gomez from DFW. Since I now have a camera which can shoot in Cinema Mode,...

Humanities Nirvana in Fort Worth

Today, wifey and I spent exactly $ 00.00 for free Saturday admission to the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth. The building itself on the outside resembled a vaulted German WWII bunker lining the beaches of Normandy. Inside, the open stretched gallery layout provided ample room and variability in illumination and display. Later this year, the main building turns 50. Designed by Louis Kahn, it was the last major project to finish before his passing. And no, he was not the brother of renown Detroit-based architect Albert Kahn. I’ve been to some of the top notch art museums in maybe 20...

Afterlife  ||  Thankful for Whom? Afterlife Having recently viewed the latest installment of the Ghostbusters franchise — and one which is an actual sequel to the two flicks from the 80s — I have posted my review. If you care to see that review, it can be found at: https://pearsonally.com/reviews/#mov You will also find other reviews.  Feel free to comment, agree, disagree on any.  Unfortunately my book reviews are behind, as several titles I’ve consumed have failed to inspire me to cut time to review. Thankful for Whom? America just celebrated another feasting festival known as Thanksgiving, where supposedly the nation...

Diary Entry, 2101.20: Inauguration Edition

Biden, Harris and the Hope for America  ||  Parler  ||  Questions about Rudy Giuliani ||  Movie Review: WONDER WOMAN 1984 ||  Movie Review: THE MIDNIGHT SKY || Media Review: The Mandalorian Biden, Harris and the Hope for America As of 11am today, Central time, America once again made me proud. With the inauguration of Joseph Robinette Biden Jr as the 46th President of the United States, I once again have hope for us, our country and even our planet. It will undoubtedly take the vast majority of the next 4 years to undo the damage done to our planet, our country,...

A Tune For The Holidays, 2020-Style

”Let Us Grow” (to the tune of “Let It Snow”) Oh, the Covid out there is frightening But the truth within us is enlightening Together we’ve one place to go: Let us glow, let us grow, let us know The tragedy wouldn’t be stoppin’ If it not for the doctors microscopin’ The brights didn’t care about the show, Caring only on stopping the Covid on the go, Now we got a relieving liquid charm, How we need to get a shot in the arm, To get Covid a hurried alarm And reduce its horrid harm So the plague is slowly dying...

Sima & MJ  ||  Cartoons  ||  ‘Microzine’ Sima Ladjevardian and MJ Hager Yesterday my wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Sima Ladjevardian.  Don’t ask me to pronounce the name, but she is certainly getting our vote in this election.  Running against Dan Crenshaw (R), we hope to have a representative in Congress to replace Trump’s local bagboy. Now don’t get me (too) wrong: there’s a lot I like about Crenshaw.  He was, for instance, in the military, served overseas, and was wounded in combat, losing his right eye.  When I sent a beloved relative a pic of Sima, she...

Loving LOVE

Recently I had the immense pleasure to attend a performance of the Cirque du Soleil show at The Mirage in Las Vegas called LOVE. It is a brilliant and bizarre 90 minute spectacle dedicated to the music and legacy of The Beatles. I am not a big fan of the circus. I’ve been to circuses, including one called something like the Royal Russian Circus maybe 25 years ago; with dancing bears, elephants walking trunk to tail, clowns so hideous they would make Pennywise shiver from their creepiness, and trapeze artists flying with the greatest of ease over outstretched nets. That is...

Diary Entry, 1908.15

Yeah, I haven’t been blogging as much as of late, but I do want to inform my (few) dear readers of the upcoming issue # 7 of my sci-fi/fantasy/horror fanzine, “Microzine”. During — and for a bit past — high school, I, along mainly with my bud Kevin Colbeck, then later Ray Heikes and Charles Oliver, put together a fanzine, originally titled “Encyclozine“.  You, should you so desire, can read all about it here: https://pearsonally.com/microzine Well, I am finally getting around to doing another issue, and this time I look forward to utilizing modern technology to make it a reality.  And...
