Finally Finished – My Music Video
Well, it’s almost entirely finished.
George Lucas stated “…films are never completed, they’re only abandoned.”1 Well, I can understand. The video is not yet 100% to my liking, as there are certainly still a few problems. The lip-sync is faulty in a few places, one of the transitions is not yet to my liking, and one microphone shot — with the speakers in the background — is a bit too long.
I also hope to have another session to shoot with the model, the wonderful Iveth Gomez from DFW. Since I now have a camera which can shoot in Cinema Mode, and I can narrow the focus of a shot on the subject, I can get much more creative with the subject. In my mind’s eye, I can now do better.
I posted it in early August as it has been difficult to blend my j-o-b (which I love), my upcoming Broadband/5G classes, my duties as a dutiful husband, and my posting as Director of Communication for a local political candidate (not to mention the occasional website/graphics/db job) into a manageable timeframe. So after the holiday season I do hope next year to make it better.
And since the Halloween season is coming up, be sure to see my video of last year’s video, P-Dog’s House of Horror. This year, with more animatronics, a terrifying path through the front yard, and more spiders, jumping skeletons and more, it’ll certainly be a wild day.
Hope to see you there.
